TiVi VoIP client for E61

TiVi is SIP client for many handhald devices, easy to setup and easy to use. Like in Skype you could call phone to phone for free over the internet, using Wi-Fi or even EGPRS (EDGE). You could call to regular phones via their service as well. Voice mail box avaliable, text chat. Take a look at there web site: http://www.tivi.com

  1. Unfortunatelly, seems to work with TiVi VoIP service only.

  2. Not entirely true…you CAN connect to other SIP servers. When dialing, type @ (inside the Tivi App) and choose call->voice call. Worked for me.

  3. My example above was removed (guess the server thought it was an email address). Should have been “..type AT (inside the Tivi App)…”

    Can you explain me more.
    In fact do you enter the username and the password of the your sip provider into the tivi config or do you register with a tivi account and when you dial what do you enter exactly:

    phone number@ proxy domain

  5. Any of you have try to use the voice mail directly from the phone?
    There are not much information available on the FAQ’s
    Otherwise it accomplish my expectations as application: Simple and functional!

    Please tell me, how much traffic it use over EGPRS(EDGE) per minute?

    if you still got problems with certificate verification i recomend you to read your phone manual and disable verification.

    It’s another phone security, or maybe another “stupidfree” system :)

  10. TiVi Phone, while being free Voip software at the moment, has some limited user support via this website - http://www.sillyant.com,
    amd go to F0rum section. It’s true that installation problems may occur but they are usually resolvable. Download also available there.

    Do I have to use TiVi only with a TiVi account or can I use any other SIP setting. I am using this to test our SIP server connected in our Lab with the 3g GGSN.
