Hi All,

After many weeks, I’ve got my E61. It’s a very nice phone, the joy stick wasn’t much problem, even though sometimes I missed my stylus from Jasjam. Anyway, I’ve got Asus WL500G wireless router and it’s been running ok with WPA/PSK and all the laptops on the network have no problem connecting to it once I configured with correct key.

Come E61 and got WPA authentication failed error message. After googling, it’s seems, known problem. So, I thought, well, try with open/shared and wep – didn’t work either – both with 64 and 128bit. I’m at a lost what to do, The only way to get emails, freely is my wifi as I don’t want to pay obscene data charges :p.

I’d like to know what wifi router other ppl are using with E61. Please share your config and experiences

I’ve got v3 firmware running on my E61 and loads of software (but still plenty of memory for more installs) plus a 2GB memory card.

Today my vibrating alert stopped working. I checked the profile config and it was set to yes. I turned the phone off/on again and still no change. Turned the profile setting off then on again in multiple variations without luck. Tried uninstalling the last installed application to no avail. Reinstalled the app and tried it all over again. Even tried briefly connecting the power cable and removing it.

Finally it started working again, but I have a feeling like it’s fainter than before. Only in the last few weeks have I noticed the vibrating alert doesn’t work when the charger is hooked up to it. I don’t know why it went out or what I did that got it back up.

Anyone experience this before? Is it hardware or software related, or potentially both?

Sorry to disturb all the non-US e61 users but I have run into trouble with Cingular’s XpressMail on my e61. Following a recent update to the Cingular service the latest copy of the XpressMail client seems to think I have the network version as opposed to the personal edition. As a result, I can no longer log into my Xpressmail. Multiple downloads, resets, and calls to Cingular tech support haven’t saved me yet.

Has anyone managed to get XpressMail 6.7 personal edition to work on an e61? If so, can you please tell me how you made it happen?

Thanks!
