Sync Stopped with PC

Does anyone know what to do if your phone does not show up on PC ?
I double checked my cables and dock ( they said dock is not good to use). I do have the right Nokia cable

I updated program for PC sync and stil does not show up when plug in…

I think I need to reset settings on PC connect on phone? and/or redo new settings I dont know how do to do?

Has anyone else had this problem ? or can anyone tell me what to do to fix? I have a unlocked phone in USA …So my carrier does not give any support

  1. I had a similar problem with my E61 (also in the USA with a unlocked E61)… When I updated my PC Suite to the new version (see europe.nokia.com/pcsuite ) the problem disappeared.

    If the above doesn’t help then see the Nokia Discussion boards ( http://www.europe.nokia.com and search for “Discussion board”) maybe you can find help there…
    if you get some kind of error type in the message into the search of the discussion boards and there you should find some help.

  2. I’ve experience the same problem.

    Strange that many problems have recently shown up since the last windows update. Have had other issues on several of my computers as well, mostly USB and Wireless networking.

    I Uninstalled & rebooted, Re-installed 6.82.21 and let it do the update to 6.82.22 and rebooted.

    Repairing option in installation of 6.82.22 did not correct the problem, nor did the uninstall and reinstall of 6.82.22.

  3. Hey Matt,
    the same ting ruined my evening last night - suddenly that thing wouldn´t want to sync, nor did the sync-soft detect my phone although it was connected and also showed up in my Fileexplorer..

    Simple Solution - Uninstall the whole Nokia-Software on your PC and re-install it. Although i had exactly the same version running before, it worked like a charm again after i did that. Something must have gone wrong updating the old software..

  4. I had the same problem - I updated the PC suite software after I got a message detecting a new version. Aftre this I could no longer sync successfully (it wouldn’t detect my phone via cable or bluetooth). I de-installed the new software - reinstalled the original PC Suite software I got with the phone from the CD - and it works fine!! I now keep ignoring the message I get telling me there is an update!

  5. I also got it once but I realized that it was happening as I have set up new to-do’s at the phone (which I usually dont do). After I deleted them, it was fine again. (I use PC SUITE sync with my Lotus Notes)
