I have a a Nokia E61 and when I upgraded to firmware 3.0633.09.04 20-11-06 RM-89 and Blackberry Connect S60PR3_Blackberry(6.44.3) the calendar refuses to sync with the BES and I do not get any calendar updates. It worked fine before i upgrade and I canot find a way to downgrade the firmware.

Otherwise I like the phone and everything else works OK.

I have the proud user of a Nokia E 61 for the past year being especially pleased with the ease of connectivity to a range of wireless LAN where I have used TruVoip, Gizmo and Voxalot.

Without making any changes to my home wireless network settings I am now receiving the following error messages:

Internet: Server Not Found and/or Connection Failed (-19) and/or No Gateway Reply.

I am able to detect the wireless LAN and my laptop connects without any problem. I have read of similar problems with the Nokia E 61 but this has only recently occurred for me and I am wondering if it might be a problem with the phone itself or whether I should try to reinstall the Wireless from the beginning.

Any advice would be welcomed?

Do you know, how to postpone a reminder for task? Normally, you can only dismiss oraz ignore it. When you ignore, it’ll come back in a minute. But I’d like to have a possibility to postpone it for 15min, 1 hour, 1 day and so on. Exactly like in WinMobile.

The lack of thos little feature forced me to use PDA with phone with WinMobile, but I’d like to come back to my Nokia e61.

Do you know, how to fix this?

John - re Gmail

There's something funny about the way Gmail handles POP, I think.
This might help?

just wondering if anyone has a work around for the 60 second time limit on the inbuilt voice recorder. or perhaps a software that allows you to both choose compression rate, and safe on memory card. have tried total recall and psilock software, but neither cut the mustard. thanks

Thought I'd add my $0.02...

Brad Lay - I also use Good. And, don't care much for it. Many things are implemented well, but as you mention, it simply doesn't integrate with the platform. I also used it on a Windows Mobile device with the same problems. Fortunately, I've never had to use a treo, so can't say how it is there. It's highly frustrating. Also, I wish good would implement a simple POP mail add-in, realizing that most corporate users have personal lives.

Just started using Profimail for GMail access. Love it. Though, Good has spoiled me with their keyboard shortcuts. Profimail uses the screen space better though. I'm a huge fan of small fonts and packing stuff into the display.

Which brings me to my second complaint. No today screen equivalent to windows mobile. I want everything in one place, as configurable as I want it to be. Not there yet. I've read that future versions of the OS will have something. So, I'm anxiously awaiting.

Someone above by the way, mentioned Papyrus - excellent product. Loved it on Windows mobile, unfortunately, with Good, you can't use the Papyrus calendar syncing with outlook via Good. And, I need over the air access as I'm highly mobile. By the way, the makers of Papyrus (name slips my mind right now) have excellent support and seem to be nice guys.

Though I've never heard anyone else mention it. Low volume on the speaker. Whether I use the loudspeaker or the regular hold-it-to-my-head method, I always have it on highest and have trouble hearing. My girlfriend has a cheapo fone that I can hear across the room when she puts it on speaker. I'm very jealous.

Oh, and I agree that the way-too-sensitive voice recorder sucks. Would rather be able to customize that button.

I've also had random crashes and occassional delays hitting a button and waiting for a response, but after working with windows mobile for a while, a once-a-week crash is really a reminder that I need to reboot the device - something I had to do several times a day with WM.

OK, one more thing. I bought the Nokia Car kit. Mistake. After 10 minutes on the call, static starts so bad that it's unusable. Since it works fine for 10 minutes, and then gets staticy, I can't believe it would be feedback of having the microphone too close to the speaker (though I recently moved the mike, but have not yet had opportunity for a long phone call). I suspect it's a software bug and being in the US, I'm SOL on solving that! Also, I purchased the car kit thinking it hooked into my stereo speakers, and almost cried when I found out it didn't.

Can't wait to try VoIP. Wish you could classify music vs. sounds as different things, so my whole MP3 library doesn't show up when I want to set a reminder or email tone, and vice versa when I go to the MP3 player and just want to listen to music.

Wish it had a normal headset port, synced with mini-usb that provided power. Not having power on the sync cable - probably second biggest annoyance behind the missing today-screen.

Bottom line is, gripes above are valid and real. But, this phone is fantastic, I love it more every day. Wish I could code, as I would really customize some apps that I need for getting information when I move around. Can't wait for more useful software, and software optimized for the big screen and full keyboard. I think Profimail's problem is that they're S60v3 generically - which I understand to be mostly phone-type devices with the E61 being the first full keyboard. Good, on the other hand, is specifically for the E61, so takes good (not great) advantage of the screen, and excellent advantage of keyboard shortcuts.

Oh, and who the hell thought a calculator app could be exciting!?!?!? Get Calcium if it's the only app you install (slight exaggeration). You'll be walking around all day looking for math to do. The UI should win a Nobel Peace Prize it's that much of a stand-out.
