Problem trying to sync Outlook Calendar with E61
I have the following problem: Outlook was sync’ing just fine with my E61, then one day the synchronization failed, the error message was simply that it had failed at record 60 of 168 (or some such thing). I’m guessing there’s something in the calendar item 60 that the sync or E61 can’t deal with.
Any ideas on how to clear this out? Or how to find out what record 60 is – the synchronization log is particularly unhelpful in this respect.

Does it work to sync one-way from phone to PC or one-way from PC to phone?

How are you doing the sync? OTA with Mail for Exchange or cable at your PC?

I’m doing the sync with a cable at my pc. the error message is simply that the sync failed at record x of y records whereby x has changed over time, doubtless as some calendar appointments have fallen out or been deleted.
I have tried both one-way sync (from PC) and two-way; a sync from the phone only makes no sense for me as I run my calendar on my laptop 95% of the time and just want it sync’ed with phone for reminder purposes.

i had the same problem but the phone showing word system error and it can be sync at all

I’ve started getting the same problem, ie sync fails with “System error” reported on the E61 phone. I’m running USB cable, latest PC Suite, latest phone s/w and Outlook 2003 V11 Build 5608 as of 8th Jan 2007. Phone counts up to different values of Calendar records before system error.

I was only able to solve this problem by uninstalling the software from the phone, restarting the phone and then re-installing the software again. All other methods that I tried didn’t work.

If you are using enterprise blackberry synchorinization, then you CANNOT and SHOULD NOT sync the calendar/to-dos. Uncheck that box, and it will work fine.

I have the same problem about once a week (syncing on a mac or on my pc at work) it’s a phone crash. The way out is to deactivate the different sync in your Sync software (on the computer) (Notes, Tasks, Calendar, contact) and then to synchronise again activating one at a time. Everytime I get the system error on the phone, I managed to fix it that way.
