Nokia N95 is still better then iPhone so far
As time goes you may noticed that there where no posts published on NokMe. I will explain why!

More then half year ago I’ve switched to Apple iPhone and I’m quite happy about it. Recently you may see lot’s of applications appear for this great phone and it’s now not just a “play phone” it’s now a fully functional smartphone. Few days ago Apple released “Software Development Kit” which will boost production of new apps in near future. So far Nokia N95 is better than iPhone for me but I still use both.

But in this post I want to tell you about different smartphone Nokia N95. Why you ask? Because today it’s a real 3G Smartphone and if you’re lucky to live in a country with 3G network you can have high speed internet available in this wonderful device which may even replace your home internet line, because the speed of 3G networks nowadays is greater than 2.5mbit/s and prices keep falling.
Next main thing in this phone is GPS built in, which will replace your Garmin device. Nokia N95 featuring GPS maps and road directions features to help you navigate in the big city.
With recent release of 8gb version it becomes more powerful phone. So from today I’m switching this blog main focus from Nokia E61 to all wonderful Nokia products.
Tests:
I’ve been testing this device as a modem on 3G network in Dominican Republic with network operator “Claro” the other device was Merlin X950D 3G ExpressCard from Novatel Wireless the computer was Apple MacBook Pro.

The modem speed of Nokia N95 was 20% faster when using with cable and the same when using bluetooth connection comparing to Merlin X950D 3G ExpressCard. So it’s a big plus to Nokia.
No, it isn’t
The N95 currently has more features, but it is less usable overall and less pleasant in terms of raw user experience.
And while the iPhone still has room to grow, the N95 will always be clunky.

Yes it is! The iphone has focused on being a ‘gimmick’ phone with a few cool apps and yes it does look extremely cool, but after that, what are you left with. There are LOADS of third party applications for the N95. For example, I have Tom-Tom 6 on my N95, I have FULL internet using the Opera browser. Last night I connected my N95 up to my friends TV and we watch a full movie in DVD quality. Can the iphone do any of that? No.

Nokia N95 is really more good then the rumored Iphone. Because it is more cheap then that with a great camera and software compatability.

Iphone is based on the Apple brand and advertsing rather than the number of applications or their functional characters.

Yes I agree with you. Although IPhone has more features than N95. but N95 has also its cool features like GPS and road direction. In terms of connectivity N95 is ahead than IPhone.

Hi there.
Thanks for the cool article. I live in SA & we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the 3G IPhone. My problem is that for over a year I have been trying to sync the 8Gig N95 I have with no success. I am at wits end. I love the device, but am going crazy syncing my E61 to my Mac and then to my N95 8.
Can anyone assist please
