I am having problems with the Fine connector pins that Nokia ac 4 u offers. The Connector Pin does not have enough mechanical strength and bends very easily. I am amazed how a company like nokia can approve such poor quality design

I got the same problem with my new n95, saying ‘ Not Charging’ when I plug the charger. I don’t think it’s the problem with the charger (works well on other n95); other chargers also don’t work on this faulty n95. It may be the charging controller of this phone is damaged. Is there any other method to fix that by ourselves other than send back? I signed from O2-UK. Is it better send to O2 or to Nokia directly?

my sons 5300 has the same fault charger not supported
has been back for firmware upgrade still same
phone works fine otherwise tried differnt types of charger can charge up battery manually using a seperate powersupply but the phone itself wont recognise the charger nokia dont want to know about this fault so wont buy a nokia again so stuff them
avoid nokia service

i have the nokia charger i got with my 5300 and after 5 months of use i plug it in and says charger not supported. if i switch the phone off and try charge it it shows battery charging but even after hours no battery charge is seen.

I’m off to buy my 3rd Nokia (new design) charger and in my case, it definitely is a case of the cable getting damaged inside the moulding at the plug end as pointed out by Kian Ryan. That must be why they sell it with a velcro cable tie so that you can loop up the cable when not using the charger. Most of us just wrap the cable round the plug and in the case of the Nokia charger, this seems to put enough tension on the cable to break it.
Will find a 3rd party charger this time.

after 14 weeks of refusing to by a replacement charger i now have. The shop is having to replace them with stock of the shelf and will be taking up the problem with nokia them selfs. never had a problem with nokia, unlike some other make that i wont mention but it looks like nokia has messed up big style hear. good job i had old nokia spare.

Do you guys have any clue why Nokia changed their charger? I believe there must be some non-technical issue here.

Thanks guy’s. My real worry is over! This nokia charger is only giving an output of 3.7v = / 355ma. No wonder it wont charge!! Thanks to you all…Jay.

I have a 6233 and I’ve not been able to get an exchange yet for a new one, even 9 weeks on, I’ve been told that their is a problem with the supply.

i bought a car charger for my nokia 6234 (i think), and it only charges my phone for a few seconds when i plug it in initially and if i want it to stay charging i have to bend the wire back which would suggest a problem in the cable. however it used to work nicely until i messed with my car radio. i dunno but im getting pretty fed up with the new cheap nokias.
