E61 mp4 problems
i have an unlocked e61 and have only ben able to play 3 g movies and not mp4 of any kind when i try
it tells me cant play video or clip is trying to play partially
i have tryed using the pc suite converted nothing works any ideas

I had similar problems. I found that when I re-encode content (mp4) as mp4 improved in QuickTime the mp4s play ok on the E61.

your converted video must be encoded at simple profile. different encoders call it in different way
in Nero Recode you need select mobile or portable profile.
also video must be smaller than 352×288

I use SUPER to encode the movie.
For mp4, use “H.263″ in “Select Output Video Codec”.

the encode is no problem .. but is there any good player for e61.. the stock one does not have fast forward/backward feature (or does it). very frustrating for watching full length movie and stop in middle.
