The reply from Dataviz on feature requests was that the more people request something, the better the chance is that the feature will be implemented.

Personally, I'm waiting for them to implement syncing of contact pictures, so feel free to join the choir :-)

Marc Abrams, thank you for your post. Any one can tell me how or what I have to configure on my exchange server 2003 to use the mail for exchange on my nokia E61?

Thank you,

LOL. Sorry about the confusion :)
When I said activesync - it's about desktop activesync, not exchange.

But thanks for the replies though.

Mail 4 Exchange will do most of what you are looking for, but if you are looking for a more robust solution keep your eye out for the official release of RoadSync by DataViz (should be in Q1 2007). It's in beta now, but the final release will most likely support all of the features you currently have with M4E, and some additional things like subfolders, accept/decline meetings, GAL, and even most of the new Exchange 2007 mobility features like flagging and search.

In my experience Mail for Exchange does the trick but with some caveats... no mail sub-folders and you can't reply to events on the go. Sync works very well though.

Sure can...

There is a badly named icon in your Installations folder called Mail for Exchange which you can configure to sync periodically on a timed basis or will support realtime push mail with the current version of Exchange Server 2003.

I have used both the Blackberry sync and the Exchange sync on the E61 and much prefer the Exchange sync because it properly transfers contacts, mail, and calendar events. Blackberry for Nokia does not sync contacts and uses the BES conversion process to squeeze attachments, rendering them without formatting, etc.

I have been using the Exchange sync in realtime and push mail for about 9 months notw with no issues.

Hi, you can Sync almost every thing, just the e-mails I did not find a way yet ...

and the contacts sync is better than the Windows Mobile one, since with Symbian you can sync even the contact pictures (with windows mobile I could not do that)

PS.: take a look at my blog, I`ll post a review of some Symbian applications tomorow (I use a N80 and not a E61, but I think both are Symbian S60 v3, right?)
